This website, fellandforge.co.uk, is operated by Alistair MacLeod, trading as Fell & Forge by Alistair MacLeod, Sole Trader, of 3 St Pauls Court, York, YO26 4TP, United Kingdom. Fell & Forge is a sole trader, not a company, so “I” throughout these terms means Alistair MacLeod trading under that name. You can reach me at contact@fellandforge.co.uk.

What this website is for

This website presents Fell & Forge jewellery and the story behind it, directs purchase-ready visitors to the Fell & Forge Etsy shop, and collects commission enquiries. It is not itself a checkout: product purchases currently take place on Etsy, not on this website.

Informational content

Product descriptions, process explanations and other content on this site are provided in good faith and kept as accurate as I reasonably can. I cannot guarantee that every piece of information on the site is error-free at all times, and prices, availability and making times shown on the relevant Etsy listing take precedence over anything on this website if the two ever differ.

Intellectual property

The website design, photography, text and Fell & Forge branding are owned by me or used with permission, and must not be copied, reused or redistributed without my written permission, except where the law allows, for example fair dealing for private study.

Acceptable use

Please do not use this website in a way that could damage, disable or impair it, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use it to transmit anything unlawful, harmful or abusive.

This site links to Etsy and may link to other third-party sites. I am not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of external sites outside my control.

Buying through Etsy

When you buy a ring through the Fell & Forge Etsy shop, that purchase is completed on Etsy under Etsy’s own platform terms and privacy arrangements. Fell & Forge remains responsible for the goods sold and for its obligations to you as a customer, including your statutory rights, regardless of which platform the order was placed through.

Commission enquiries

Submitting a commission enquiry through this site does not create a contract. A commission only proceeds once you and I have agreed scope, price and the deposit described on the commissions page and in the commission terms.

Availability

I aim to keep this website available and working correctly, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, and may need to suspend or change the site for maintenance or other reasons from time to time.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits my responsibility for faulty or misdescribed goods, personal injury or death caused by my negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Subject to that, I am not liable for losses that are not a reasonably foreseeable result of my breaking these terms.
