Accessibility statement
Last updated: 6 August 2026
My commitment
I want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or who prefer reduced motion. I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and I test against that aim rather than simply asserting it.
What I have tested
- Keyboard support: every interactive control, including the mobile menu, product gallery and both enquiry forms, can be reached and operated without a mouse, with a visible focus state.
- Reduced motion: every animated element, including the collection stage, the process line and the homepage’s closing sequence, resolves to a finished, static state when you have reduced motion enabled in your operating system.
- Responsive reflow: pages remain usable without horizontal scrolling across common screen widths and at increased browser zoom levels.
- Images carry meaningful alternative text, or are marked decorative where appropriate.
- Target size: buttons and controls are large enough to hit comfortably on a phone, and the product gallery can be worked through without dragging anything.
- Focus is never left underneath the fixed header. Every control on every page was checked against the header’s own position.
- Automated checks (axe-core) run against all seventeen pages in both a desktop and a phone layout as part of my review process, with no outstanding violations at the time of this statement.
Known limitations
Most of my testing runs in Chromium. Safari and WebKit are part of my automated checks, but as a smaller parity suite covering the pages and components most likely to differ, rather than the full set. Firefox is not currently covered, because it will not start reliably in my test environment.
Automated tools only reach a portion of the guidelines, so the rest is my own manual checking. I have not yet tested this site with a real screen reader, and the verification step on the enquiry forms is a third-party widget whose own behaviour I do not control. If you find a barrier anywhere, including in something I have listed here as tested, please tell me and I will fix it.
Not a formal certification
This statement describes my own testing and aims. It is not a formal, externally certified conformance audit.
Reporting a problem
If you hit a barrier using this site, email contact@fellandforge.co.uk describing the problem and the page it happened on, and I will help directly.
